Actress Gal Gadot recently brought a smile to the faces of patients and staff at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, when she paid them a surprise visit dressed as Wonder Woman.
Gadot was able to drop by on July 6 because she is currently filming “Wonder Woman 1984” — the highly-anticipated sequel to 2017’s “Wonder Woman” — in nearby Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area.
As evidenced by their beaming grins in this photo tweeted out by Dr. Lucas Collazo, it seems like Gadot’s appearance was definitely appreciated by hospital staff:
Thank you @GalGadot for visiting us @InovaHealth Children’s Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it…and so did the staff 😉 #wonderwoman84 pic.twitter.com/EFDLM02rpf

“Thank you @GalGadot for visiting us @InovaHealth Children’s Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it… and so did the staff. #wonderwoman84,” the physician captioned his photo.
Here are two more snaps of Gadot with more staff members, as well as cradling a tiny patient:

Patients’ parents were grateful that Gadot took time out of her busy filming schedule to brighten up their children’s day — and their day, too. Kelly Sahady’s 7-month-old daughter, Karalyne, is a patient at the hospital being treated for acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of pediatric cancer.
“She was diagnosed at two months old and for the last five months, we have given up our other kids to other family, and we haven’t been able to be with them,” Sahady told WUSA9. “We spend three to four weeks in the hospital each time with a break in between each cycle of treatment.”
Gadot held and kissed Karalyne, and asked questions about her. Kelly Sahady said the superhero’s surprise visit was a special moment she won’t soon forget.
“After all this time being in there for so long, it was a real treat to have this happen,” said Sahady. “Thank you. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to do this. You know we’re fans for life now.”
The Sahady family has a GoFundMe fundraiser for Karalyne’s care.
