For the record, we think Pink looks amazing. PS: If you’re offended by strong language, you might not want to read this article!

It’s no secret that we live in a culture obsessed with youth and beauty — but as pop star Pink recently proved, aging is not a bad thing.

At one of the singer’s recent concerts, an adorable 12-year-old fan got the chance to perform in front of her idol. The young girl gave a beautiful performance of Pink’s song “Perfect” and video of the touching moment began to circulate online. Check out the sweet moment below.

But, of course, not all online reactions to the video were as touching as the moment itself. When L.A. radio station KIIS tweeted out the video, one Twitter user made a rude comment about Pink’s appearance, saying she “looks so old [she] should be named Purple instead.”

What that person likely didn’t expect was for Pink herself to see the comment. The singer did and gave the perfect response to the remark:

“You must be from la. Well, there are a few people left in the world that choose to age naturally. And I’ve earned every f***ing minute of my 38 years. How you lookin though? Cause I never heard of ya til you put my name in your mouth. I shall call you little purple troll.”

Wow. Check out Pink’s full clapback below (Warning: the message contains strong language).

The pop star makes a great point about aging, which is that growing older should be viewed in a positive light and can actually serve as a reminder of how much you’ve been through in your life.

This was far from the first time Pink has spoken out against societal pressure to conform to impossible beauty standards. Last year, she shared a photo of her post-baby body on Instagram, in which she noted that she felt great about the way she looked, despite the fact that she was not yet at her goal weight and that others may consider her overweight.

She’s used her celebrity status to spread positive messages to young girls and boys, too. At the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, she gave a powerful speech about her daughter, Willow, being bullied at school, where kids have told her she looks “like a boy.” She’s also gone on record as saying she supports gender neutrality and doesn’t raise either of her children with the gender labels pushed by society.

Kudos to Pink for her empowering perspective!
