Dwayne Johnson is built like a brick house. Fact. Of course, this is not groundbreaking information. Anyone who’s anyone knows that the former pro-wrestler turned Hollywood star has muscle growing on muscle. Admittedly, I don’t think his acting ability is that impressive (which is strange as he has made a bomb at the box office) but the same cannot be said of his ginormous thighs and protuberant traps.
You only have to look at his hardcore workout schedule to realise that his shredded body doesn’t come easy. The gym buff has to be in beast mode pretty much 24/7, training hard and long, while shovelling down a whole heap of food along the way to keep his energy levels high.
The former athlete (he was a national championship-winning football player in the past) dedicates a lot of time to ensure he is at the peak of physical fitness before he steps onto the movie set. Johnson said:
“For different roles my condition and training and diet does alter. Depending on the role, it will really dictate the type of training I do. For Hercules, it was a 22-week diet, while for G.I. Joe: Retaliation it was about a 14-week diet.”
