A fun fact about myself: I once chased Argentinian tennis star David Nalbandian through Madrid airport in order to get his autograph (he was very grumpy and actually ruined the whole experience). Don’t know who he is? Former men’s tennis world No. 3, he was runner-up at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships and the winner of the Tennis Masters Cup in 2005. Basically, he was a big deal for a sports nerd like myself.
What I’m really trying to say is, we all have our heroes… even celebrities. While photos of crazed fans demanding autographs are commonplace, have you ever seen a celeb asking for another celeb signature? It might be a rare sight, but we have some here for your viewing pleasure.
1. Mick Jagger signs his name for none other than Andy Warhol
2. Lord Of The Rings star Elijah Wood gets an autograph from Turkish singer Selda Bağcan
3. Eva Mendes gets a special autograph from Alyssa Milano back in 1989
It’s really bizarre to see celebrities pandering for autographs from their heroes. Flick over to the next page to see the man himself, Frank Sinatra, meeting someone even he considers an icon.
