Ever since I can remember I have always been surrounded by dogs. If not the family dog, then my best friend’s. Even now, there’s an awesome office pug that joins us at work every day. Having a loving canine companion has proven to be a really good way to relieve anxiety and to raise our spirits. For that, many of us love to show our pets just how much they mean to us.
As humans, we show emotions with words and by giving hugs and kisses. We show people and dogs just how much we love them by doing one or more of the above. Dogs on the other hand, can’t exactly reciprocate in the same manner (even though we wish they could). It hasn’t been figured out until now though, that hugging your dog is actually causing it destress. Read more over the page.
