Earlier this week, it was reported that there are classified documents (known as the infamous “28 pages”) which could reveal Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the 9/11 attacks. A source has claimed this information was kept private in order to maintain a diplomatic relationship between the U.S. and the Arab state.
In 2002, shortly after the inquiry into the 9/11 attacks came to a close, the Bush administration ordered the inquiry to permanently seal a 28 page section of the report. This section supposedly investigated possible Saudi government links to the events which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people. These 28 pages have remained sealed ever since.
Now further information has been revealed which points to Saudi involvement in the 2001 plane hijackings. This evidence has incidentally emerged as Barack Obama arrives in Saudi Arabia for a meeting with King Salman – with the intention of smoothing relations.
